fashion shows, summer jam, & photoshoots ...

It's been a while since my last post and sorry to all my readers, I've been supppper busy. While I wasn't in Miami for Memorial Day weekend =( I was still having fun. I've been on my super grind but I promise a lot of posts are coming, tonight look out for the top items, places, and things of summer.

Early last week I had a photoshoot for GeeChee One magazine which is honoring me as "One of the top people to look for in 2007", it is definitely an honor and I had a lot of fun shooting. I am not used to being in front of the camera but thank god Joel (my make up guru & bestest friend) who made me comfortable. I will post pictures in the next posting, it's crazy that I'm being honored in an Atlanta based magazine and I've never even touched down in the A, but I swear I'm coming!!

June 2nd I showed pieces of my new collection from my line, Royal T by Amber Marion, during Brooklyn's Sun Fest as apart of the Soul Beauty fashion shows, check out Soulbeautyonline.com, and I have to thank Latima for putting the show together and making me feel at home. The crowds response was amazing, everyone LOVED the new pieces and was amazed at all I do. Thank you to everyone, both personally and professionaly, and braved the heat to check me out!

Now what would Hot 97's Summer Jam be without my mother and I ?!!?!? Truth be told I haven't missed a Summer Jam since like '97. Last night's Summer Jam was shorter than usual but still a must see. If you weren't there than you just aren't normal. I missed the festival where Lil Mama, Shopboyz, and some other new artists performed and many promo events where going on because of the rain which I hoped would let up once the show started but in only got worse. The rain ruined my Blackberry and my new CTS as I literally stood in the rain for 6 hours but it was so worth it.

HERE'S A RUNDOWN OF THE SHOW:
T-Pain opened the show followed by Ciara who was looking way too toned (YES! I AM STARTING TO BELIEVE THE RUMORS), Swizz Beatz who was fresh out the hospital came out in a wheelchair and hospital gown and then tore down the stage bringing out Kanye West for a producer battle. I don't know whose bangers are more crazy, Swizzy or Kanye. Next up was Ne-Yo who brought out Fab (as if no one was expecting that) then Fab brought out Jeezy. Jeezy had every hood mothafucka in the buildning bouncing and going extra hard, PEACE UP A TOWN DOOOWN. Yep, I'm reliving the moments. Chris Brown followed up Jeezy and was having some problems dancing due to all the rain but he looked like Cambells. Chris Brown brought out Juelz and Weezy, the Weezy took over the show with Birdman (no, they didn't kiss, thank god for that). But Weezy spit one of the craziest freestyles I've ever heard along with Fat Joe to the make it rain beat, let me kick something for you from Weezy's mouth "Your watch reminds me of the '80s/ crack rocks on the face". Then the main event, in my eyes, D-I-D-D-Y. I knew Diddy was gonna kill the show because I mean come on now he's fucking Diddy. He brought out Keyshia, Elephant Man, T.I. & T.I.P. I guess, and The LOX but it was Lil Kim who made me almost die as she spit her "Benjamins" verse. After that I left, I heard Mims and Akon came out but seriously why, WHY would you follow up Diddy, how is that even possible.

Aside from all that I'm ready to get back into work, photoshoots, and shows! Check back tonight for the ultimate summer must haves!
