Reggie & Kim; you can't hide anymore!!

Just like her infamous "there isn't a sex tape, there will never be, and no one can find it because it doesn't exist" Kim Kardashin denied rumors that she was infact dating Reggie Bush. I mean maybe the two are just messing with one another, everybody knows real people have boos & booty calls so why can't celebs?!?!? Either way the pair was spotted doing lunch in LA and even kissing.

I can't hate, he looks good as fuck & she's one bad bitch!

Fashion's hottest couple of the moment: Kanye & Alexis

At first I really didn't like Alexis because she stole my man, Kanye, from me but I've grown to love them. They are definitely the black Barbie & Ken always looking so done up!

Every month here at Fashion's First Lady we are going to have a trendy couple of the month & even though its a few days late Alexis and Kanye take the cake for June! I had to do it because I got another hot duo coming up for July. Whether they are runway side during fashion week or eating at the Ivy in LA these 2 are always on point when it comes to their clothes. We've all known Kanye is like another word for FRESH but who knew he could find his exact counterpart. Alexis kind of reminds me of Vanessa Simmons in the face.

I love them because Alexis was with Kanye before all his money, all his glory, even before his accident. In "The College Dropout" Kanye refers to Alexis a lot. In "Never Let Me Down" Kanye raps "... and I promise Mr. Rany I'ma marry your daughter, and you know I gotta thank you for the way that she was brought up .." I'm glad these two are together & the know how to dress.

My sources tell me that Alexis is actually studying (or has studied) fashion at NYC's Fashion Institute of Technology. It's clear she knows how to dress. I would have thought her out to be a stylist but who knows. Her life is pretty much a secret and I like it that way.

Overall I really hope (&pray) these 2 last together. And y'all know the wedding is gonna be something like a fahsion show. Hopefully I get up the ladder by the time of the big day so I'm in there. AND IF ANYONE HAS A PICTURE OF THESE TWO FROM BEFORE KANYE WAS BIG I'LL PAY YOU FOR IT!! I know they were dopely dressed way before we knew them!

Mommy & Me Dress

In the recent issue of In Touch I saw something so funny. Kris Jenner, mother of Kim Kardashian and the whole Kardashian/Jenner 11 child crew, attended Jillian Barberie's baby shower wearing the same dress Kim had worn at the Sidekick iD launch party back in April. 3 out of the 11 children attended the shower with mom including Kim and her business partner sis Kourtney. Also the younger but beautiful sib Khloe was there. I think all the K's were meant on purpose.

Here's the pics for yourself:

Kris Jenner is at the far left, everyone looked gorgeous including Heather Locklear

And there is Kim looking beautiful at the LA launch party.

Ron Herman has Disney Couture by Kidada Jones

Like I said, as soon as I find out where you can snag some of your own fairytale pieces by music's biggest heiress turned jewelry designer I would let you know.

RonHerman.com is the spot for your fix. Like I predicted I bought almost everything the site has.

http://ronherman.com/ShopBrands.aspx?CategoryID=638&view=all is the exact link to view Ron Herman's entire inventory of Kidada Jones' stones.

And everything was priced just right, and trust me ladies Ron Herman has the cheapest prices around on the goods and also some exclusives.

Some of my picks & purchases:

As I said the Tinkerbell Bamboo earrings are to cute to live without. At $90 a pair why not have them, Denise Richards has been spotted sporting them every since attending the launch.

And as I promised last night I would have the amazing Castle necklace in my life and I was soo excited when I found it for only $80 at Ron Herman. I can't wait to rock this stuff.

A piece of cake !

This is another post I promised someone I would do. Pastry Sneakers by Run Athletics are the newest kicks on the market for the ladies. Created by Angela and Vanessa Simmons, hip hop heiress' to the Rev Run and Run DMC throne.

I attended the NYC launch party at Ultra back in the beginning of May and I snagged myself a pair, it was only a matter of time since I know 1/2 of the designing duo. A lot of people thought the sneakers were going to be a dud and just some names on another pair of sneakers but with Pastry that is not the case. There hard struggle from coming up with a concept to pitching the idea was documented on the hit show "Run's House" on MTV.

My favorite are these, the "sprinkle" shoe based on Angela's favorite cake to bake, the confetti cake. Lucky for me I got a pair of the "Strawberry shortcake" which have my fav color pink in them!

They're ultra comfy and stylish. And with the wide variety of color schemes, all based on various cakes and patries, they go with everything. I love them and it seems that the ladies of New York are loving them too. But get them quick, the Cake Collection which is the current collection out will be replaced by the fall collection boasting deeper and darker colors.

Happy Ang, I told you sooner or later it would be up here =)
*Also thank you to everyone who has been checking in with the blog daily as we are beginning to post everyday, add me on myspace, myspace.com/royaltbyamber.

Kidada Jones & Disney Jewelry

I first read about Kidada Jones' line of Disney jewelry, Disney Couture, a little over a year and a half ago in Vibe Vixen. I knew the line was going to be hot because Kidada has style (her daddy is Quincy Jones and sister is actress Rashida Jones) and she's been a fixture on the Hollywood "IT" girl scene for a while.

After the a very long wait the line finally launched with a May 31st bash in Bel Air, Cali.

And no Kidada isn't Nicole Richie's new best friend, pictures of the two of them hand in hand date back to Nicole pre heroin, so it was no suprise Nicole was there supporting Kidada. I love the little castle necklace the two of them are wearing, deifnitely something I need in my life! Once the line is available for sale I will let you know where.

The item I am most looking foward to besides the castle necklace are the Tinkerbell gold door knockers, they are bamboo earrings with Tinkerbell inside and black diamonds on her.

Top 5 must haves for summer in accessories

This summer be the hottest chick on the market. These top 5 accessory picks of mine will have you looking like the baddest. And a piece of advice to all my ladies, go with the real deals, like Rem says "it's official just look at the tag"! These accessories are sure to have you looking more than faboulous this summer.

1. A mean metallic sandal and/ or a cute jelly shoe

Yep, the jellys we all loved when we were 5 are back and going to be smashing the concrete this summer. Marc Jacobs has these cute durable jellys (shown in blue) for less than $150. But for dressing up at night, your go to shoe is going to be a metallic sandal. Not only are metallics hot this summer but sandals that go up the foot and ankle are definitely in as well. These Stuart Weitzman are under $300 at Saks but are so durable and comfy.

2. A dark pair of shades so they can't see your eyes ...

A good pair of sunglasses are always a must have for summer but this year the glasses are going to be darker than ever and have more decorated than ever. Look for all sorts of embellishments including gold, rhinestones, and huge logos! Don't be left out, get a cute pair. If you splurge on a good pair they'll last you through every party, one night stand, beach day, and street fair this summer. Designers like D&G, Chloe, Fendi and Gucci are going to be your go to's for the hottest shades.

3. A dope set of bangles

Keep it going with the metallic theme that dresses up everything. A wife beater and skinny jeans can look red carpet ready with the right accessories and metallics are taking everything from plain to paparazzi worthy in seconds. Clear plastic bangles will also the job done. Don't break the bank and get $200 Juicy Couture bangles when some of the best finds are at the street vendors and flea markets.

4. A cute printed scarf for your hair

Nothing is worse than being on the beach and getting that nasty beach hair because we all know it does not look how it does in the movies. Actually there maybe something worse, walking on a hot day and having your hair stick to your back. The quick and chic solution is a ultra cute and trendy scarf. Get a long one that isn't meant for hair and tie it has a headband, it even looks cute with a ponytail. I happen to be in love with the Alexander McQueen skull scarfs ($230, pictured from my personal collection) and the classic Emillio Puccis ($275).

5. A colorful durable handbag

Color is going to be important this summer in your every day items. So get a handbag thats colorful and still cute but BIG. The bigger the better this way your bag can play beach bag for an impromptu trip to the beach or a weekend getaway with a new summer hunny but it can also be played down for work and everyday use. The Chloe Paddington pictured is from my personal collection and is under $1000 at Neiman Marcus.

This Week's Style Spotlight: Kim Kardashian

She has successfully shed the title of Paris Hilton's BFF & Hollywood trustfund baby. But with all the rumors and stories surronding this girl's love life we tend to over look what Kim Kardashion does best - DRESS! Kim makes her own ends, not like she has to, by being a stylist to the stars and also a closet reorganizer. Kim also owns (with her sisters) Dash, a high end LA boutique which has become a staple for all fashionistas. Kim is this week's style spotlight because she's someone who is always being photographed and never looks bad! That's a skill!

And ladies stop hating on Kim, calling her Ms. Hoedashian, if every single man you ever dated was on display to the whole world a lot of y'all would be looking worse than her out there! I'm not condoning her sex tape but I am condoning her amazing style.

fashion shows, summer jam, & photoshoots ...

It's been a while since my last post and sorry to all my readers, I've been supppper busy. While I wasn't in Miami for Memorial Day weekend =( I was still having fun. I've been on my super grind but I promise a lot of posts are coming, tonight look out for the top items, places, and things of summer.

Early last week I had a photoshoot for GeeChee One magazine which is honoring me as "One of the top people to look for in 2007", it is definitely an honor and I had a lot of fun shooting. I am not used to being in front of the camera but thank god Joel (my make up guru & bestest friend) who made me comfortable. I will post pictures in the next posting, it's crazy that I'm being honored in an Atlanta based magazine and I've never even touched down in the A, but I swear I'm coming!!

June 2nd I showed pieces of my new collection from my line, Royal T by Amber Marion, during Brooklyn's Sun Fest as apart of the Soul Beauty fashion shows, check out Soulbeautyonline.com, and I have to thank Latima for putting the show together and making me feel at home. The crowds response was amazing, everyone LOVED the new pieces and was amazed at all I do. Thank you to everyone, both personally and professionaly, and braved the heat to check me out!

Now what would Hot 97's Summer Jam be without my mother and I ?!!?!? Truth be told I haven't missed a Summer Jam since like '97. Last night's Summer Jam was shorter than usual but still a must see. If you weren't there than you just aren't normal. I missed the festival where Lil Mama, Shopboyz, and some other new artists performed and many promo events where going on because of the rain which I hoped would let up once the show started but in only got worse. The rain ruined my Blackberry and my new CTS as I literally stood in the rain for 6 hours but it was so worth it.

HERE'S A RUNDOWN OF THE SHOW:
T-Pain opened the show followed by Ciara who was looking way too toned (YES! I AM STARTING TO BELIEVE THE RUMORS), Swizz Beatz who was fresh out the hospital came out in a wheelchair and hospital gown and then tore down the stage bringing out Kanye West for a producer battle. I don't know whose bangers are more crazy, Swizzy or Kanye. Next up was Ne-Yo who brought out Fab (as if no one was expecting that) then Fab brought out Jeezy. Jeezy had every hood mothafucka in the buildning bouncing and going extra hard, PEACE UP A TOWN DOOOWN. Yep, I'm reliving the moments. Chris Brown followed up Jeezy and was having some problems dancing due to all the rain but he looked like Cambells. Chris Brown brought out Juelz and Weezy, the Weezy took over the show with Birdman (no, they didn't kiss, thank god for that). But Weezy spit one of the craziest freestyles I've ever heard along with Fat Joe to the make it rain beat, let me kick something for you from Weezy's mouth "Your watch reminds me of the '80s/ crack rocks on the face". Then the main event, in my eyes, D-I-D-D-Y. I knew Diddy was gonna kill the show because I mean come on now he's fucking Diddy. He brought out Keyshia, Elephant Man, T.I. & T.I.P. I guess, and The LOX but it was Lil Kim who made me almost die as she spit her "Benjamins" verse. After that I left, I heard Mims and Akon came out but seriously why, WHY would you follow up Diddy, how is that even possible.

Aside from all that I'm ready to get back into work, photoshoots, and shows! Check back tonight for the ultimate summer must haves!

Lucky to be in Love?!?!?!

It has been a hell of a year for me and I've been through everything. Lately I've been back and forth about being in a relationship that's nearly a decade in the making. And I came to one long conclusion watching a friend of mine enjoy her success with her better half. Sometimes we don't want to be in love but we really are only lucky when we are in love.

My better half, well I've taken him for granted for a while now. Thinking he was cool with taking the back road to everything else I was doing and showing up for all my events. I give him a hard time about everything from girls on his sidekick to where he eats with his boys and he still manages to deal with it. I learned that there is only one person in this world who is going to be able to deal with everything you do, and that is indeed the person for you. At the end of the day no amount of money, no purse, damn not even a car can take the place of the person you love understanding and knowing you.

So let this be a written in stone type of thing to the man I love & a quick thanks because I never really tell him how much I appreciate him: Papa, I am really blessed to have you in my life. We've dealt with the ups and the downs but the most support behind me comes from you. You never ask much of me while I ask the world of you. Let's grow old watching SVU and arguing together. I love you for being my best friend, my lover, my rock, and my future you mean the world to me!!

Hot 9-7 everyday thats my word!

So Hot 97's Summer Jam tickets have been on sale for a cool 25 minutes and I'm sure there near sold out. The line up was official announced yesterday by Angie Martinez and now I'm hearing not but hate from New Yorkers.

Dipset, D-Block, G-Unit, The Roc will all be not making an appearance but amongst those whole will be there are Akon, Swizz Beatz, Keyshia Cole, DIDDY (my baby fatha if you ain't no!) T-Pain, Weezy, and some others. Hot97.com has the official line up and details.

I think Weezy is gonna be a problem as will Swizzy, I mean everyone is rocking to "It's Me Bitches" and the remix is a real problem!! After the show in June I'll let you know all the details.

OTHER BIG NEWS: My magazine, Lavish, has now been renamed, IKON. No it is not a homage to Akon, Icon is just to simple & its a quick shout to my mom, Kim. We had some trouble with another up and coming magazine named Lavish who hadn't put out an issue but found a loop hole with a "on-line magazine." Either way 1st issue will be on stands this summer so check in for more information.

Sidekick i-D - "a summer of 2007" must have!

This Weds 4/25, T-mobile will release the Sidekick i-D. The i-D was made for people who want quick access to communication, the phone does not include a camera but has T-mobile's "My fave 5" ablities. The phone is reasonably priced for only $99 with a new contract and what makes this phone even cooler (& a total must have for celebrities and it people) is the fact you can change the color of the i-D all the time using the face plates.

Sidekick.com has an overview of all the features the i-D has to offer. I will definitely be coping mine this Weds so I can be super addicted to the internet with my blackberry and my new i-D.

Another item deamed "a summer of 2007" must have is the Juicy Couture enamel bangles. There $68 each at Bloomingdale's and come in a variety of colors.
Now I'm off to pull clothing for a shoot I'm styling this weekend and to shop my little heart out!

So Mariah's on repeat on my iPod

After a long Sunday, here I am, listening to Mariah on my ipod and really rethinking every decision I've made in the last like 6 months. I know I have always been the poster child for living with no regrets but I don't know anymore.

Well I'm in a "relationship" that's been on and off forever. This person is currently seeking refuge from the world & his world in my house. I can't even be mad or kick him out because I've ran to him for a lot of things that he fixed but I feel the love isn't there anymore. I think its partially because I'm only 18 and I want so much more from life than I've already been giving. He's older and is comfortable in his life. How do I just let him go, actually he won't just go, he thinks it isn't what I really want. Is it?

On the other end of things I used to deal with an "industry" dude who was on the come up but that was never why I liked him. He wasn't the type of guy I'm usually seen with but something about him I really liked. Recently, it's been all over the web you put the clues together, he was bagged on some charges and is now serving like a year I think. Ever since the last time I was with him he is all I can even think about, now my debate is do I go see him in jail and see where his head is at or do I just forget about him for now until he's out?

BUDGET- it's a word I don't know but I think I may need to learn. I am not broke but I am not a Trump either. Living on my own has been such a reality check, I find myself complaining about things my mom used to complain about, lights left on towels on the floor, etc. At the end of the day I had to leave home and be on my own to really grow up and find out who and what I want to do. My jacuzzi bathtub has become my private spot with candles around it where I lay, dream, and bath. It's definitely not the Sex in the City type of lifestyle I hoped it would be but it's only the beginning.

My head is filled with so much right now, I really need to be single maybe. I am never single but maybe its just what I need.

the journey begins....

First off let me make one statement clear: I AM NOT CLAIMING TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT FASHION, DESIGN, AND STYLING NOR AM I CLAIMING TO BE THE BIGGEST FASHION DESIGNER/STYLIST EVER TO HIT THE STREETS.

With that said, I can now move on.
Why did I start this blog? As if the 900 things I already do on a daily basis aren't enough I want to let people into my life, my real life. Everything from auditions and castings I attend, to magazine shoots and dealing with press, and my ever so rising career. Every once in a while I'll mention must haves and what I think is hot. This is my first step before the creation of my print magazine.

Who am I? My name is Amber Marion, I am a designer and a stylist. I've created the line Royal T by Amber Marion, www.royaltbyambermarion.com, and I've had much success with it but I am striving for more. I've shown collections during fashion week in NYC, LA, Miami, and London, besides doing tons of shows in venues around the tri-state area. With the success of my line I noticed how much I trully love fashion in general so I took on another task, stylist. Now I have tons of photoshoots under my belt, music videos, and other events I am looking to expand even more and begin an image consulting company. As if that isn't enough I decided to do something about my life long passion for English and literature so I began my career as a freelance writer. I've written for dozens of urban publications including Vibe Vixen, Spanglish Magazine, T-mobile (Dwade SK3 release), and a daily blind item on another popular blog. And as of today I am doing all of that plus so much more.

What I am up to now? I've just moved out on my own and I am getting into to so much more. With all blessings hopfully later this year I will be opening my boutique in North New Jersey, it will be a collection of high end designers and lesser known indie designers. On top of that I am looking into funding to start my own print magazine, a collection of urban culture from fashion to music to lifestyle. I am designing my collection for fashion week in September as well as styling dozens of shoots.

Tune in everyday to hear stories from the inside, news, gossip, what I'm up too, and all that good stuff!
